Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our regional engineering teams in the construction, testing, commissioning, management, and operation of Electrical and Cooling infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the EMEA team in defining and implementing NTT GDC EMEA Tech-Ops standards and ensure effective testing, commissioning, maintenance, and optimization of Electrical infrastructures.
  • Schedule regular face-to-face meetings with the regional team to discuss operational performance of Electrical infrastructure, address any infrastructure issues, and report accordingly.
  • Review and develop commissioning procedures in conjunction with the Technical Operations team, hold post-handover project lessons learnt meetings, and share findings within NTT GDC EMEA Technical Operations team.
  • Instruct other personnel in the operation of Electrical and Cooling infrastructure, address any gaps in knowledge, and implement scenario training throughout the region.
  • Ensure Electrical and Cooling systems are efficiently optimized to meet expected performance requirements and support the regional team in creating energy business cases for infrastructure change.
  • Carry out regular tours of regional facilities to inspect local conformance to NTT GDC EMEA standards and ensure Electrical and Cooling infrastructure is being kept in a satisfactory and optimized condition.
  • Develop realistic plans, set goals, align plans with NTT GDC EMEA Tech-Ops objectives, and coordinate with other team members.
  • Apply clear and consistent performance standards to handle performance problems decisively and objectively and communicate in a manner that is direct but tactful and aids in improving performance.
Requirements:
  • Extensive years' experience working in mission-critical Electrical environments within a large company, IT/Telecoms industry preferred or M&E consultancy.
  • Several years' experience in leading a technical management function.
  • Experience in data centers or a similar environment is considered a significant advantage, though not essential.
  • Subject matter experts understanding of operational and maintenance governance principles.
  • Experience of working in a European multi-cultural environment.
  • Working knowledge of Plan Do Check Act (Deming cycle) highly desirable.
  • Awareness of Root Cause Analysis management frameworks highly desirable.
  • Recognised European Health and Safety Qualification highly desirable.
  • Proficient in English language both written and verbal. Second European language written and verbal desirable.
  • A maintenance excellence and zero-downtime mentality.
  • Outstanding relationship-builder and communicator, both internally and externally.
