Job Description

Step Teachers is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team in a long-term supply role at an Ofsted-rated 'Good' Nursery school in London. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a passionate and committed team, providing support to children in Early Years and contributing to their learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality support to children in Early Years, following the EYFS framework and promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Plan and execute engaging and enriching activities to enhance student learning and development, in collaboration with the Class Teacher and other staff members.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with colleagues and contribute to a nurturing and welcoming environment for all.
  • Identify and address the additional support needs of students, working closely with the Class Teacher and other support staff.
Requirements:
  • A Level 2/3 qualification in Early Years or a related field is essential.
  • Previous experience in an Early Years setting within a mainstream school is required.
  • A nurturing nature and the ability to inspire learners of all abilities.
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with SEN experience.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people, with a patient and empathetic approach.
