About the Role

Mentus Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a leading provider of mental health services in the private sector.

We are seeking an experienced Specialty Doctor or Associate Specialist to join a well-established independent hospital for adults in Leicester.

About the Hospital

The private hospital offers first-class patient care and a therapeutic approach to patient treatment.

The hospital is supported by an experienced medical team, physical health team, full MDT, and nursing complement.

The hospital has 30 beds for adult acute psychiatric care.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct psychiatric assessments for new admissions to the ward.
  2. Clerk new patients and review their mental and physical state over time.
  3. Deliver a range of interventions in the least restrictive environment.
  4. Complete Tribunal Reports and maintain patient records.
  5. Provide support and guidance to junior doctors.
  6. Participate in ward rounds with the consultant and MDT.
  7. Be involved in person-centered collaborative care and develop treatment plans.
  8. Support the consultant as needed.
  9. Ensure effective communication with the team and complete handovers.

Requirements

GMC registration and medical degree are essential.

Section 12 approval is preferable.
