Job Description

Role Overview:

The Electrical Estimator role is a challenging and rewarding opportunity offering great variety. No two days will be the same, and if you enjoy working in a passionate team, this role could be for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adjudicating enquiries with clients and the internal sales team
  • Reviewing agreed tenders, analyzing specifications, and designs to complete take-offs
  • Calculating the cost of materials, labor, and prelims
  • Obtaining quotes from specialist or named suppliers
  • Communication with clients to manage needs and expectations
  • Making use of relevant computer software such as Excel and Word
  • Visiting prospective sites to support tender bids
  • Visiting clients to present costs and convert sales
  • Liaising closely with other team members within the company to compile a tender return or bid

Requirements:

  • Must be proactive, committed, and hardworking
  • Have a positive attitude to work and contribute enthusiasm to a team-based environment
  • Vital to enjoy and be able to work within and as part of a very passionate team
  • Show understanding and have the ability to apply themselves working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Show flexibility and initiative within the role
  • Communication skills are key
  • High attention to detail

Desirable Skills:

  • Electrical experience would be a distinct advantage
  • Experience with estimating software packages
  • Microsoft office experience
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Administrative experience beneficial
  • Customer care and communication skills imperative
