About the Role

We are seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in our schools across South Yorkshire.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff to ensure a safe and productive learning environment for our students.

Your responsibilities will include assisting with lesson planning, delivering small group and one-to-one support, and maintaining accurate records of student progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist and support students with SEND in their learning
  • Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to ensure a safe and productive learning environment
  • Manage student behavior and maintain a positive learning atmosphere
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A patient and understanding approach
  • An interest and passion in supporting students with SEND
  • A flexible and adaptable approach
  • Existing experience working with children or adults with SEND is preferred but not essential
