About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced French Language Educator to join our team at GSL Education. As a French Language Educator, you will play a key role in inspiring students to develop their language skills and cultural understanding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective French lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Focus on developing students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in French Language.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Develop and update the MFL curriculum in line with national standards and school policies.
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves in the target language.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in language teaching.
  • Prepare students for external examinations, including GCSE and A-level, through effective teaching and tailored revision sessions.
Requirements
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching French in a secondary school setting.
  • Excellent proficiency in the French language, including fluency in speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Experience working with children who have a variety of disabilities and/or learning difficulties, or an eagerness to go through training.
  • Build and maintain appropriate relationships with staff, students, and outside agencies.
  • Have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
