About the Role
This exciting opportunity offers a developmental position for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist, looking to take on new challenges and develop leadership skills. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team, including Band 7 and Band 8a clinicians, to provide specialist care to patients with dysphagia and other communication needs. The caseload includes patients with complex swallowing disorders, requiring videofluoroscopy and FEES assessments. You will have opportunities to gain experience in instrumental swallowing assessment, teaching, and supervision.

Main Responsibilities
- Assess and manage a shared specialist caseload of complex patients
- Work in a variety of areas, including general medical, elderly care, respiratory, cardiac, renal, surgical, gastro, critical care, and end-of-life care
- Collaborate with other specialist clinical teams, such as end-of-life care, dementia, and dental hygiene

Key Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in Speech and Language Therapy
- Registered with Health and Care Professions Council and RCSLT
- Evidence of specialist clinical training in relevant areas, including dysphagia
- Leadership ability, clinical supervision, teaching, mentorship, and appraisal skills
- IT skills relevant to the role
- Videofluoroscopy competence (desirable)

Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this role is £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including access to ongoing professional development, regular management and clinical supervision, and opportunities for career progression within the Trust.
