We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a Senior Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people in our care.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide daily care and support to young people, including completing domestic duties and maintaining a homely environment.
- Encourage the development of individual interests and attitudes by planning and participating in activities.
- Assess individual needs and contribute to care and risk plans to promote the welfare and safety of each young person.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with young people, their families, and other professionals.
- Manage behaviour positively and assertively, working in line with specified care and risk management plans.
- Consult with young people to promote healthy lifestyles and develop positive networks with adults and peer groups.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and review of packages of care through team meetings and supervisions.
- Attend and advocate for young people in child care reviews.
- Understanding and commitment to the role, which is 24/7, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Experience of supporting young people who may be vulnerable is essential.
- Ability to work on own initiative, maintain accurate records, and demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
- Computer experience to an intermediate level and ability to complete daily records to meet statutory and policy requirements.
- Empathetic nature, good oral and written communication skills, and ability to engage, motivate, and encourage young people.
- Pay increase after successful probation period.

- Sleep-in allowance of £45 per night, average sleeps ins 8-10 per month on a full-time contract.
