Commercial Quantity Surveyor/Estimator

This job opportunity is for a skilled Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join a specialist subcontractor in Rotherham. The successful candidate will have a salary range of £35,000 to £50,000, plus a car allowance or company car.

Key Details:

  1. Salary & Benefits:
  2. Basic salary circa £40,000-£55,000 per annum
  3. Car allowance or company car
  4. Generous holiday entitlement
  5. Pension (after qualifying period)

Job Role & Responsibilities:

  1. Work closely with the Director to cost projects.
  2. Split role with 50% Estimating and 50% Quantity Surveying.
  3. Prepare estimates and submit tenders to main contractors or clients.
  4. Attend client meetings and site visits to scope projects and build relationships.
  5. Complete cost value reports and final accounts.
  6. Attend site meetings from project inception to handover.

Company Overview:

  1. Specialist interior subcontractor.
  2. Project values range from £10k to £1 million.
  3. Projects include office fit-outs, warehouses, and more.
  4. Experience in a commercial position.
  5. Construction qualification preferred but not essential.
  6. Excellent relationship-building skills.
  7. Full UK driving license required.
