Welder Specialist

About the Role

Gemini Rail Group is seeking a skilled Welder to join their team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for welding structural components on rail vehicles using various methods, including MIG welders.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake tasks as directed by your Line Manager or team leader
• Undertake tasks of own trade and non-core activities of other dissimilar trades
• Ability to prioritize own work
• Advise and inform of any defects found in the course of your duties
• Complete necessary paperwork according to Depot Procedures
• Ensure that work is completed in a clean and tidy manner
• Take care of all working property and handle it in a safe working manner
• Deliver and be responsible for quality of work undertaken
• Non-core activity may require checking to ensure it meets required standards
• Input of data (IT)

Requirements

• Minimum NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Welding or similar qualification
• Trained in problem solving techniques, root cause analysis and team working
• Ability to work to a high level of detail and precision
• Ability to follow technical instruction both written and verbal
