About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled PHP Developer to join our team at Overwolf, a leading modding platform in the game industry. As a PHP Developer, you will play a crucial role in shaping our technical landscape, driving innovation, and using cutting-edge technology to enable creators to bring their visions to life.

This is a full-time position open to UK residents only.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop robust PHP code to build new features of varying complexity.
  • Investigate and resolve complex bugs and maintain and refactor existing codebases.
  • Offer assistance on technical support queries.
  • Share your unique knowledge and experience with the development team through code reviews and technical discussions.
  • Consider and implement security and performance best practices in all code you produce.
  • Enhance the user experience by making thoughtful suggestions and improvements to projects.
  • Collaborate with the development team to create powerful and scalable PHP applications.
Requirements
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • 3 years of experience with PHP and Laravel with a deep understanding of various development approaches and design patterns.
  • Proficiency in automated testing (PHPUnit feature test, etc.).
  • High standards and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Receptive to feedback and open to new ideas with a collaborative mindset.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively to overcome challenges.
