Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Manager to join our team at Howells Solutions Limited. As a key member of our commercial operations, you will be responsible for delivering all commercial aspects of repairs and maintenance contracts. This includes managing the commercial team, preparing and presenting weekly/monthly reports on financial performance and WIP, and collaborating with operations. If you have experience working in social housing and reactive maintenance contracts, we would like to hear from you.

About the Role

The Commercial Manager will play a pivotal role in driving commercial growth and achieving targeted profit margins. You will work closely with other business functions, customers, consultants, and the supply chain to ensure successful contract delivery. To succeed in this position, you will need a strong background in commercial management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage time to meet deadlines. A degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management is essential, as is previous experience working for a social housing contractor. NHF Schedule of Rates experience is also a must.

Requirements

* Degree in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management
* Previous experience working for a social housing contractor
* Experience of contract law
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent Microsoft Excel knowledge
* NHF Schedule of Rates
* Financial and commercial awareness
* Ability to negotiate and influence
