Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pricing Coordinator to join our team at HSB Engineering Insurance. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in providing an industry-leading quote, bind, and onboarding experience for our Engineering Inspection customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to profitable growth by executing agreed pricing strategies in support of our Engineering Portfolio Manager.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure engagement and buy-in to our growth plans.
  • Qualify, price, quote, and negotiate Engineering Inspection new business opportunities accurately and promptly.
  • Proactively follow up with customers on quotes issued to maintain accurate status records.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Account Managers, Development Underwriters, and the Bid Coordinator on large opportunities to deliver a joined-up proposal.
  • Manage the conversion of successful quotes into contracts, ensuring accurate policy, schedule, and checklist details.
  • Coordinate the onboarding of new Engineering Inspection customers, providing an exemplary customer experience.
  • Identify up-sell opportunities for Engineering Inspection services and cross-sell opportunities for Engineering Consultancy services and Engineering Insurance products.
  • Act as a referral point for colleagues in line with pricing authority to ensure consistent service delivery.
Requirements
  • Thorough understanding of UK engineering inspection services.
  • Awareness of Machinery & Technology Combined insurance (SUD) product.
  • Strong trading capability and commercial awareness.
  • Established operator of MS Productivity tools and Adobe.
  • Experience of underwriting existing Engineering services and operating fixed rate pricing calculators.
  • Ability to apply high-level strategic planning concepts.
  • Experience of HSB's Engineering and Commercial IT systems.
