Accounts Payable Officer
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £27,000-30,000 per annum
SRM Recruitment Limited is partnering with a rapidly growing, innovative company to find an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their finance team.
The Role:
As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will play a critical role in managing and processing financial transactions. You will ensure that all invoices are processed accurately and on time, while maintaining excellent vendor relationships and supporting internal teams with any payment-related queries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process, verify, and reconcile invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Ensure timely payments of vendor invoices and resolve any discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate and organised financial records, including accounts payable reports and accruals.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors regarding payment issues or discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing AP reports and accruals, to ensure seamless financial operations.
- Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required, contributing to the overall efficiency and accuracy of financial processes.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, particularly German VAT requirements, to maintain a compliant and efficient accounts payable function.
- Continuously improve accounts payable processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance, driving business growth and success.
