We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Inventory Management Specialist to join our team at Tesco within the Clothing (F&F) department on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the effective and accurate allocation and replenishment of stock, ensuring that the required stock levels are maintained in stores to achieve targeted sales in line with the Merchandising team's plans.
Key Responsibilities- Inventory Management: Manage the throughput of stock from allocation to replenishment using and maintaining all available tools.
- Technical Competence: Demonstrate and maintain competence in all technical areas relevant to the role.
- Analysis and Reporting: Analyze weekly sales information, including ROS analysis, bestsellers, cover sheets, and decide with senior allocators and merchandising on next-step actions to be taken for priority stores and lines.
- Department Analysis: Produce department analysis for assistant merchandisers.
- Store Openings and Refits: Allocate to new store openings and refits, monitoring package builds.
- Communication and Collaboration: Maintain successful meetings with merchandising by promoting distribution strategies and improving communication.
- Data Management: Responsible for maintaining all data, the distribution of reports, and understands the importance of accurate, organized, and timely filing.
- Commercial and Trend Knowledge: Visit stores to gain a better understanding of the impact of allocations/replenishment and store stock profiles.
- Commercial Awareness: Be commercial and aware of the changing role of retail on the high street and in the competition.
- Team Management and Development: Carries out tasks as delegated, in a timely manner, working under supervision.
- Personal Attributes: Personal attributes that reflect the role requirements above, good Excel computer skills, be interested and excited by fashion retailing, numerical and logical skills are essential, and able to be self-motivated and work under management.
