Job Description


We're seeking a skilled and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Jubilee School, an independent special school for pupils with complex Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. As a SEMH Specialist, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe and supportive learning environment, helping our pupils to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.



Responsibilities



  • Prepare and lead engaging classroom activities, tailored to meet the individual needs of our pupils
  • Support pupils with complex SEMH needs, providing emotional and physical care
  • Work collaboratively with our experienced teams to develop and implement personalized learning plans
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a calm and respectful classroom environment


Requirements


To succeed in this role, you'll need:



  • A strong understanding of SEMH needs and effective strategies for supporting pupils
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team
  • previous experience in a school setting
