Project Manager - Maritime

£35p/hour

(Marine background desirable)

Our client, a leading company in the maritime industry, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the execution of their project on the BAE Naval base in Portsmouth. As a key member of the project management team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth delivery of the project, adhering to timescales, and maintaining a reputation for excellence in customer service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing site procedures, ensuring safety and operational oversight, quality control, and effective client communication. You will establish and maintain efficient site operations, ensuring that all necessary resources are available, and promote the use of the company's integrated Management System (DMS) to ensure standardisation and effective project management throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and execute project work scopes and timelines to ensure timely completion.
  2. Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  3. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  4. Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating potential risks.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in the maritime industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
