Penguin Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Flood Risk Consultant to join our client, a specialist UK-based Engineering Consultancy. The successful candidate will be part of an established team based in the North West, working on a variety of residential, energy, and river projects for Local Authorities, House Builders, Contractors, and Private Sector Clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Flood risk assessments for flood zones 1, 2, and 3.
  2. Surface water management plans.
  3. Surface water and foul drainage strategies.
  4. Baseline Assessments.
  5. Hydrological Studies.
  6. Pollution prevention.
  7. SuDS Design using Flow.
  8. Client meetings to discuss project progress.
  9. Project management.
  10. Team development and mentoring.

Requirements:

  • Strong academic background in a relevant discipline, including a BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering or Hydrology.
  • Experience working for a UK-based Consultancy or Local Authority, completing Flood Risk Assessments, Baseline Impact Assessments, Hydrological Studies, and Surface Water Drainage Strategies.
  • Keen interest in Project Management and mentoring.
