DT Technician

As a DT Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our teaching staff in delivering high-quality Design Technology lessons. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting teachers with the preparation and layout of classrooms for practical exercises, running trials, and demonstrations.
- Ensuring equipment and materials are prepared for lessons, including making up special equipment or modifying existing equipment as necessary.
- Advising students on the safe and proper use of tools and equipment, as well as Health and Safety issues.
- Supporting students in preparing materials for both 3D and 2D projects.
- Assisting in practical lessons and after-hours activities when requested.
We are looking for a skilled and experienced individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will have:
- Qualifications to A Level or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
- Experience working with a range of Design Technology equipment and resources.
- Experience or a solid understanding of working as a technician in a school or educational establishment.
