Senior Planner Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Planner to join our Natural Resources team at Kier Group. This role involves leading planning efforts for projects in the Thames Valley region, focusing on non-infrastructure schemes such as upgrades to wastewater treatment works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading planning and programming efforts for water asset management programs of work.
  • Reviewing and producing programs for acceptance, impact programs, project controls dashboards, reports, and program narratives from first principles.
  • Analyzing contract metrics and making improvement recommendations.
  • Supporting the commercial team to ensure accurate forecasts with reference to program.
  • Reviewing resource loading and maintaining schedule resources in a Primavera P6 environment to support project management decisions on sequences of work.

Requirements:

  • Must have NEC / IChemE contract-based planning experience within medium to large-scale non-infrastructure project or portfolio work.
  • Experience of civils and MEICA based projects in the water industry.
  • Confidence and experience in managing a planning team.
  • Good understanding of commercial and contractual matters and thorough experience and understanding of programming techniques.
  • Competency in the use of Primavera P6.

Estimated Salary Range: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum depending on location and experience. Kier Group offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Location: Working from home and site/offices as required, with opportunities for flexible working arrangements.
