ESOL Tutor

We are partnering with a Local Authority in Halton to recruit a Sessional Tutor ESOL on a 1-month contract, with potential for extension. If you are a qualified educator with experience in delivering adult learning programs, we encourage you to apply with your CV.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver learning programs to adults from diverse backgrounds in various community venues, including schools, libraries, and community centers.
- Promote learning programs to potential learners and partner organizations within the borough.
- Prepare learning programs, including session plans and schemes of work, for those delivered.
- Maintain records in line with the Common Inspection Framework, including registers, contact logs, learner feedback, and other relevant documentation.
- Monitor learner progress and achievements, including assignments and national tests/assessments, and provide advice/information about next steps.
Requirements:
- Specialist qualification or extensive experience in the subject area.
- Teaching Certificate (adults), such as a Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector or PGCE Certificate in Education.
- Experience in delivering adult learning in various settings.
Important Notes:
- You should be available to work immediately or at short notice.
- You must have the right to work in the UK.
- This role requires an enhanced DBS.
