About the Role
We're looking for a talented Cost Modelling Specialist to join our pioneering Tesco Sourcing team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in developing world-class cost model management and end-to-end analysis. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow in a fast-paced environment, helping shape the way we work through structured governance and develop our supplier partners.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver end-to-end benefits through our cost base programme, reviewing the supply chain from raw materials to distribution.
  2. Support and stretch Tesco product partners to unlock site financial business improvements and support return on investment programmes.
  3. Provide independent oversight on supplier cost base models, identifying impacts and P&L drivers.
  4. Be an active member across the Tesco group, supplying best practice standards to drive coordinated group-wide performance improvement.
  5. Support our sourcing team and own brand supply strategy decisions, as well as buying teams with industry expertise and intelligence on raw materials and industry/supplier cost structures, P&L.
  6. Prepare periodic briefings to categories and senior management.
  7. Participate in cross-functional deep dive projects to drive large-scale efficiency across the business.
  8. Work with our supplier/partner to assess cost drivers, business models, and review capacity models.
  9. Manage projects, holding stakeholders to account regarding critical paths.
  10. Continuously improve our approach and ability to collaborate cross-functions.
  11. Adhere to all Tesco policies, GSCoP, and our Business Code of Conduct, always acting with integrity and due diligence.

What You'll Need
  1. Strong stakeholder engagement experience.
  2. Strong financial competency, understanding, and ability to interpret financial statements and reporting.
  3. Experience in a manufacturing environment, recognised as a world-class or lean organisation.
  4. Experience of delivering results using Business Improvement techniques.
  5. Experience leading teams through business process changes and site improvement plans.
  6. Skilled in analytical software and competent user of Microsoft Office suite.
  7. Proven experience to deliver training, coach others, and facilitate group problem-solving sessions.
  8. Program and project management experience.
