Job Summary:

Elevation Recruitment Group is currently working with a leading manufacturing business in the UK, seeking a highly skilled Group Financial Accountant to join their team. This is a temporary, on-going contract, requiring a candidate who can quickly adapt to the role and make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare statutory accounts for the group and subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.
  • Financial Consolidation: Manage the consolidation of group financial statements, including multi-entity consolidations and complex intercompany transactions.
  • Financial Close: Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting at both entity and group levels.
  • External Audits: Act as the primary contact for external auditors, managing the annual audit process, and resolving technical accounting issues.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously identify and implement improvements to financial processes and controls, enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of reporting.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Qualified accountant, ideally ACCA/ACA/CIMA
  • Experience: Experience in a group environment, preferably with multi-site operations
  • Skills: Strong organisational and management skills with a focus on continuous improvement, detail-oriented and inquisitive, excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills, people management experience to reach deadlines and improve efficiencies across the team
