We are seeking a Graduate Fire Engineer to join our team at Penguin Recruitment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects in a wide range of sectors, including commercial, industrial, nuclear, and more.

The role involves developing fire strategies and performance-based designs, supported by fire and evacuation modelling, risk analysis, and cost benefit analysis. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, are essential for liaising with clients and internal stakeholders.

A degree in Engineering (Fire, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, or similar) is required, along with relevant experience and a full UK driving license. Computer literacy in software such as Blue Beam, Microsoft, CAD, and Smoke modelling software is also necessary.

The successful candidate will be able to travel within the UK and overseas. In return, we offer a competitive salary, plus benefits, including a pension, qualifications paid, generous holiday allowance, and training & progression opportunities.

The estimated salary for this position is £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, based on the location and industry standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing fire safety engineering reports
  • Reviewing design information such as drawings and documents
  • Ensuring work is compliant with client expectations and contractual obligations
  • Resolving fire engineering concerns by applying accepted principles, codes, and standards
