About Us

Bacon's College is a Church of England School with a strong commitment to high achievement within a supportive community, underpinned by Christian values. Our ambition at Bacon's is to raise the achievement and improve the future prospects of our students, regardless of their background.

We are relentless in the pursuit of academic excellence and believe that through curriculum mastery and hard work, every student is capable of achieving well. Our school has a welcoming atmosphere for students and staff of all faiths, and those of none.

Our Group

Bacon's College is part of United Learning, a large and growing group of schools aiming to offer a life-changing education to children and young people across England. United Learning is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

The Role

We are recruiting trainees in a wide range of subjects including Mathematics, Science, English, MFL, DT, RS, Geography, and History. If you are ambitious and want to make a positive difference to our community, we would welcome your application. Applications must be made directly to United Teaching but you are more than welcome to enquire directly with us or arrange an informal visit.

Why Choose Us?

United Learning schools work as a team and achieve more by sharing than any single school could. Our subject specialists, our Group-wide intranet, our own curriculum, and our online learning portal all help us share knowledge and resource, helping to simplify work processes and manage workloads for an improved work-life balance.

Career Opportunities

As a Group, we can reward our staff better: with good career opportunities, better pay, perks, benefits, and ultimately, the satisfaction of helping children to succeed. We invest in our staff wellbeing, providing up to eight INSET days per year and an ongoing group-wide wellbeing programme.
