Bennett and Game Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Town Planner to join their team in the Gloucestershire area. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, ranging from individual dwellings to large, multi-functional schemes.

Job Overview
  • Assessing the potential of sites for a range of developments, identifying opportunities and constraints, and advising clients accordingly
  • The promotion of sites for residential and commercial development through the Local Plan process
  • Preparation and coordination of planning (and associated) applications including the drafting of supporting statements
  • Liaising with internal and external technical specialties, clients, and Local Planning Authorities
  • Preparation of fee proposals and management of project budgets
  • Support to more junior members of the team
  • Promote the Company and market its services
  • Maintain a programme of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Requirements
  • Degree and/or Masters in Town or Spatial Planning, desirable
  • Chartered Member of the RTPI, desirable
  • 3+ years planning experience in the public or private sector
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Project management experience including the management of budgets and invoicing
  • Full driving licence and use of own car
  • Live within a commutable distance of Gloucestershire
