Job Title: Residential Care Home Manager

Ventry Care Homes is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Care Home Manager to lead our residential care home in North London. As a Care Home Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring that our residents receive high-quality care and support.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Service User Safety: Protect service users from avoidable harm and abuse, manage risks to service users, and ensure care staff provide assistance in a timely manner.
  • Medication Management: Manage the medication process, ensuring that service users' medicines are received, administered, recorded, and returned correctly.
  • Quality Improvement: Review and monitor the quality of the service, driving improvement and ensuring that our home meets the requirements of the Health and Social Care Act and associated regulations.
  • Staff Management: Manage the staff team on shift, assist in the recruitment process, and be responsible for mentoring new care staff.
  • Service User Engagement: Promote social activities, support, facilitate, and record access to the local community, ensuring that our residents are engaged and active.
Requirements:
  • RMA / NVQ 5 or equivalent completed or enrolled.
  • A proven track record in residential home management as a manager or deputy manager.
  • Elderly / dementia experience.
  • A sound knowledge of the CQC and applicable legislation / standards.
