Assistant Site Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Site Manager to join our team at Vistry Group. As a key member of our site operations team, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Project Manager and Site Manager in the day-to-day control of the site, ensuring that all project works are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Manage and deliver project works, including the coordination of sub-contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Ensure the safety and welfare of the general public, staff, and supply chain within your control, adhering to our strict safety policy.
- Participate in safety initiatives and maintain site cleanliness and presentation at all times.
- Lead by example, managing the day-to-day delivery of construction projects, including quality, time, procurement, and contractors.
- Manage sub-contractors, including monitoring attendance and progress, and providing direct instruction and support as necessary.
- Follow Vistry site procedures and maintain all daily, weekly, and monthly site paperwork to ensure audit compliance.
- Involve yourself in the management of internal and external design teams and consultants to meet project deadlines.
- Produce and regularly review short-term programs in line with the overall project program to ensure completion on time.
- Ensure detailed plans are available to meet scheduled deadlines, incorporating commercial implications and drivers within the construction process.
- Liaise with the Contract Manager to ensure they are fully aware of project progress and notified of all financial, specification, and time risks.
- SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid, and Scaffold inspection qualification.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of construction processes and procedures.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
