HGV Class 1 Driver Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HGV Class 1 driver to join our team at Logistics People. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence
  • No more than 6 points and no DD/DR Code convictions
  • Hold a current valid DCPC & Tacho cards
  • Understand and comply with Driver's hours and WTD legislation
  • Perform vehicle checks to ensure safety and report defects correctly
  • Comply with on-site health and safety requirements
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including AM and PM start times
  • Adaptability to work on an ad-hoc temporary basis
