Housing Relief Officer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable individual to join our Homeless Relief Team as a Senior Homeless Relief Officer. This position is for 1 permanent full-time officer, working 37 hours per week over a Monday-Friday working pattern. The team works on a hybrid basis, with a 50/50 split between office and remote working.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the Housing Act 1996, as amended by the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017. They should be able to evidence confident application of the legislation and defend legislative challenges.

Responsibilities include managing a caseload of complex homeless cases, representing Cheshire East at multi-agency meetings, and developing initiatives to enhance the Housing Options and Homelessness Service.
