As a key member of the Medium finance team, the Deputy Chief Financial Officer will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the company's financial operations. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the CFO in developing and executing financial strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to long-term financial planning and budgeting processes.
  • Manage treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and foreign exchange strategy.
  • Work with banks and financial institutions to optimize working capital.
  • Lead the financial planning and analysis function to provide insights into business performance.
  • Serve as a key finance business partner for various departments, offering strategic financial advice.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
  • Assist in managing corporate risk, including financial risk, operational risk, and compliance risk.
  • Ensure that the organization complies with FCA regulations, including ongoing adherence to capital adequacy requirements, liquidity thresholds, and other financial obligations.
  • Lead the preparation of the submission of statutory financial reports and regulatory returns to the FCA in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Support post-merger integration and alignment of financial practices.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CFA (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant finance experience, including leadership roles.
  • Experience with financial systems, ERP platforms, and advanced Excel modeling skills.
