Caretaker Job Opportunity

We require an experienced caretaker to maintain the site's grounds and facilities in Brighton, East Sussex.

Responsibilities:
  • Allowing contractors and other professionals to access the site
  • Supporting viewings for potential tenants or vendors, arranged in advance
  • Carrying out tenant check-ins, check-outs, and annual flat inspections, with reports submitted to the office
  • Maintaining communal areas, including daily entryway cleaning (Monday to Friday) and weekly completion of the building
  • Cleaning flats between tenancies
  • Ongoing testing of emergency lighting and fire alarms
  • Quarterly inspection of communal fire doors and annual checks of flat entrance doors to ensure no defects, with reports submitted to the office
  • Performing minor tasks, such as tightening toilet handles, applying paint to small areas, and fixing hinges
  • Managing the car park by regularly monitoring for unauthorized vehicles
  • Daily checks of the bin store to ensure it remains tidy, bins removed before council collection and returned afterwards
  • Notifying the office of any maintenance issues
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for ad-hoc out-of-hours responsibilities, such as tenant emergencies
  • Additional ad-hoc duties as required
Salary Information:

The salary for this role is estimated at £21,500 per annum, taking into account the location and the requirements of the job.
