We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Cyber Security Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Junior Cyber Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in defending country critical technology in Defence and National Security.

• Monitor and analyse security alerts and events, conducting initial investigations and escalating as necessary.
• Manage incident queues to ensure timely responses to security incidents.
• Assist in the improvement of detection rules and use cases using Mitre ATT&CK and threat-informed defence.
• Support the development and enhancement of SOC processes and procedures to ensure a smooth operation.
• Work collaboratively to maintain monitored asset baselines in client environments.

• Experience in a Security Operations Centre environment.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft ArcSight and Splunk.
• Basic understanding of key technologies like firewalls, VPNs, anti-virus solutions, client-server apps, and web applications.
• Active DV Clearance is required for this role.

• SOC-related certifications such as CREST Practitioner Intrusion Analyst or Blue Teams Level 1.
