Academic Gastroenterologist

Job Description:
We are seeking an Academic Gastroenterologist to join our growing team of physicians at East Tennessee State University's Quillen College of Medicine. As an Inpatient Academic Gastroenterologist, you will be part of a new service line that provides innovative care to patients. Your key responsibilities will include diagnosing and treating patients with various gastroenterological conditions, conducting lectures and hands-on clinical training for residents, and participating in performance improvement processes. You will also be expected to collaborate with colleagues to enhance patient care, develop and maintain treatment protocols, and oversee nurse practitioners and physician assistants in the Gastroenterology service.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have experience with ERCP/EUS, be dedicated to medical education, and have the flexibility to rotate between two hospital sites. A board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology is required. Additionally, the successful candidate will be able to represent the hospital's Gastroenterology services with professionalism and a patient-centered focus.
