Job Title: Estimator

Cambridge Maintenance, a leading provider of maintenance services in the UK, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in compiling estimates of the cost to provide our maintenance services to clients and potential clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze material and people costs to create competitive quotes that aid management in bidding and securing profitable contracts and retenders.
  • Work flexibly and observe all agreements, customs, and practices concerning interchangeability of jobs.
  • Liaise with the sales and marketing team, reporting to the Estimating Manager, and collaborate with other departments to ensure the timely and accurate processing of enquiries.
  • Undertake site surveys, in conjunction with others or independently, to gather information for accurate pricing and estimation of new, renewed, and re-tendered M&E PPM contracts.
  • Obtain technically compliant and commercially advantageous prices from specialist suppliers and sub-contractors in accordance with enquiry requirements.
  • Review and evaluate the technical and commercial requirements of pre-prepared tender documentation, specifications, and SLAs to balance strict technical, statutory, and performance-related compliance with commercial risk and competitive value.
Requirements:
  • High level of technical and commercial ability.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and flexible approach.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient in IT, notably with MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
