Italian Casual Dining Sous Chef

About the Role:
Host Staffing is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at a thriving Italian casual dining restaurant in Central London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a growing restaurant group that is expanding with 2 new openings planned for next year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the kitchen operations, including menu writing and costing, stock taking, rotas, and cleaning schedules.
- Lead a team of chefs, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the best quality produce is sourced.
- Work closely with the Head Chef to create modern Italian cuisine that is fresh, innovative, and delicious.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in kitchen management, including menu writing and costing, stock taking, and rotas.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of chefs.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
- Knowledge of Italian cuisine and cooking techniques is desirable but not essential.
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary of £42,000 plus tronc (around £4,000 - £7,200 per annum).
