Babcock International Group is seeking a skilled IWE Engineer to join our team at our Faslane, Clyde site. As an IWE Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing technical engineering support and direction under the waterline when platforms are afloat.

The Role

As an IWE Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical engineering support and direction to IWE work packages
  • Ensuring that all tasks are carried out in accordance with cost, time, and quality requirements
  • Ensuring correct Quality Documentation is reviewed and called for at commencement and throughout each project activity
  • Management of subcontractors when required to complete areas of the work package
  • Responsible for Fleet Operations adherence to Babcock Clyde Diving Safety Management Systems
  • Actively leading IWE capability development and innovation initiatives. Integrating new IWMAR capabilities and establishing as normal practice.

This role is full time at 37 hours a week with a hybrid working arrangement and will be based at Faslane, Clyde.

Essential Experience

The successful candidate must have:

  • Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering or Diving experience
  • Knowledge of Project Management and comfortability to lead solutions
  • Awareness of Health and Safety

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have:

  • HNC in Engineering, apprenticeship in Engineering or equivalent experience

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
