About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Podiatrist to contribute to the delivery and development of Podiatry Services and High Risk Diabetes Care. You will work in a dynamic and supportive team, rotating through various clinical settings and participating in Multidisciplinary Teams (MDTs) for diabetes complex case clinics.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, manage, and develop wound care and vascular assessment services
- Contribute to the delivery of new patient clinics and nail surgery
- Participate in MDTs for diabetes complex case clinics
- Develop and implement new initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- HCPC registration and B.Sc. (or D.Pod.M) in Podiatric Medicine or equivalent
- Local Analgesia Certificate
- Extensive experience within a variety of clinical specialties
- Evidence of further development of competencies and ability to be an autonomous practitioner
- The ability to work flexibly and respond to changing needs
This role offers a 37-hour working week, with opportunities for flexible working and professional development. You will also have access to a range of benefits, including a competitive salary and a comprehensive pension scheme.
Please note that from 1 April 2024, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change workers in Scotland will be reduced to 37 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings. NHS Ayrshire and Arran will implement this change as soon as it is safe to do so.
