Job Title: Credit Controller
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our team at Reed. As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for the collection and management of debt on our Major Account ledger, with a turnover of £1.7bn per year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that collection procedures are administered in accordance with company and departmental policies.
- Methodically review and prioritize ledger debt daily.
- Timely completion of departmental processes and controls, including workflow, cash flow, and month-end analysis.
- Collect manual direct debits when due and act upon any rejected DDs immediately.
- Continuously build and develop customer relationships.
- Identify accounts for escalation and submit proposals to the Team Leader for further action.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure that issues are resolved quickly and correctly, to assist customers in payment.
Requirements:
- Good levels of communication, both verbal and written.
- In-depth knowledge of credit control procedures with 2+ years' experience in a similar role.
- Strong organizational skills and methodical and logical problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to remain calm and courteous under all circumstances.
- Ability to forge strong working relationships.
