Job Overview:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Drama Teacher to join our school community in Brighton. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching Drama, a strong understanding of the subject, and excellent communication skills.

  • The successful candidate will develop and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
  • They will direct and produce school productions, showcasing students' talents and creativity.

  • They will assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their artistic development.
Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering innovative lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and ignite students' passion for drama.
  • Directing and producing school productions showcasing students' talents and creativity.
  • Fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages risk-taking, self-expression, and collaboration.
  • Assessing student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their artistic development.
Qualifications and Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Drama, Theatre, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Drama at the secondary level.
  • A strong understanding of theatrical techniques, performance practices, and stagecraft.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £40,000-£60,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. You will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including pension contributions and opportunities for professional development.
