Clinical Research Practitioner/Research Nurse

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the dynamic research team at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. The role of Research Practitioner/Research Nurse has been developed in response to the evolving research landscape, focusing on clinical trials and portfolio management.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day running of NIHR Portfolio studies, including patient identification, recruitment, and follow-up.
  • Manage your portfolio in a patient-focused manner and grow future opportunities for studies in your specialty.
  • Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team across departments, requiring excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Requirements:

  • Be a registered nurse or equivalent degree qualification.
  • Have effective time management and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Be able to integrate with multiple teams to achieve set objectives.
  • Be conversant with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Research Governance.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Be willing to work flexibly in terms of hours and duties to meet service needs.

Person Specification:

  • Experience in clinical research/clinical trials.
  • First-level registration/degree-level education.
  • Computer literacy.
  • BLS qualification.
  • Excellent timekeeping and flexibility.
