Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our plant operations comply with all relevant environmental regulations and standards.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and report on environmental compliance, including air and water quality, waste management practices, and noise levels.
  • Stay up-to-date with UK environmental legislation and regulations applicable to our MBT plant.
  • Coordinate and conduct environmental impact assessments for new projects, modifications, or expansions of the MBT plant.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate plant staff on environmental policies and procedures.
  • Respond promptly to environmental incidents or emergencies, investigate their causes, and implement corrective actions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A NEBOSH Environmental Management qualification (or working towards)
  • Experience of working in waste management and/or anaerobic digestion plants
  • Laboratory experience – understanding solid/liquid sampling and testing procedures
  • Working knowledge of odour control systems, anaerobic digestion, effluent treatment, and emissions monitoring
