Creative Textiles Educator

We are seeking a talented and passionate Textiles Teacher to join our team for a maternity cover position from December 2024 to May 2025.
Job DescriptionThis is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic educator who is committed to inspiring students and delivering high-quality lessons in Textiles, helping to nurture creativity and skill development in a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Deliver engaging and creative textiles lessons to students in Key Stage 3 and 4
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the textiles curriculum
- Support students' personal development and well-being
- Prepare and maintain resources and equipment for lessons
- Hold a relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Have a passion for textiles and a strong knowledge of the subject
- Demonstrate effective teaching methods and classroom management skills
- Be a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
- Have experience teaching Textiles at Key Stage 3 and 4 (desirable)
