Geotechnical Manager – Offshore Wind

We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Manager to join our team and contribute to the successful delivery of offshore wind projects.

As a Geotechnical Manager, you will be responsible for examining geotechnical risks and establishing parameters for offshore wind structure design. You will also perform complex conceptual examinations of foundation installation and provide key commercial support.

Your main accountabilities will include initiating, defining, and executing soil investigation campaigns, running requests for proposals, assessing offers, and selecting preferred subcontractors. You will also ensure that soil investigation campaigns are compliant with substructure design and certification needs, working closely with the Balance of Plant Manager.

You will analyse geophysical and geotechnical studies undertaken for the project to inform decision-making and support wind turbine and floater selection activities. You will participate in engineering and design due diligence, monitoring work carried out by the project's advisor on soil assessment. You will also prepare Site Conditions Reports for the Basis of Design of the projects in collaboration with the Wind and Metocean Assessment Manager.

Key requirements for this role include a strong geotechnical engineering background, experience in offshore wind across early-stage project development, and the ability to communicate complex information to others in an accessible manner. Familiarity with Microsoft Office software and design programs is highly desirable, as is exceptional written communication and presentation skills.
