Job Title: Logistics Operations Manager

A challenging and exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Logistics Operations Manager to join our client's thriving business in Portadown. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient movement of goods from inbound deliveries to goods out. Your expertise in logistics software and ERP systems will enable you to coordinate and oversee daily operations of freight services, ensuring seamless logistical processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate shipping and coordinate haulage for bulk ingredients arriving by sea, road, and air.
  • Coordinate and oversee daily operations of freight services, ensuring efficient logistical processes.
  • Book in deliveries with customers, working to their specific requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for freight, addressing enquiries, resolving issues, and providing updates on shipment status.
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of freight operations, including scheduling, tracking, and documentation of shipments.
  • Liaise with carriers, clearing agents, and other third-party service providers to ensure timely and safe delivery of goods.
  • Evaluate and implement cost-saving measures to improve operational efficiency.

Requirements:
  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent, including English and Maths.
  • Previous experience within a similar logistics or transport role.
  • Experience with MS Office and Excel.
  • Good telephone and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
