Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Adult Psychiatrist to join our team at Barking Community Hospital in West London. As an experienced professional, you will be responsible for providing senior medical support and guidance to the multidisciplinary team while delivering high-quality care to adults with mental health needs.

**About the Role**

As an Adult Psychiatrist, you will work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care services to patients across West Barking and Dagenham. Your key responsibilities will include working as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing senior medical support and guidance, working directly with adults and their families, and participating in the on-call rota with a 3% Category A on-call supplement.

**Required Qualifications and Skills**

You must hold full GMC registration with a licence to practice and possess CCT or equivalent qualifications. Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it is also required. Furthermore, you should have Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it, and be included in, or eligible for inclusion in the Specialist Register within 6 months of obtaining CCST.

The post holder will work alongside another Adult Consultant Psychiatrist and GPvTS trainees in the West Mental Health Wellness Team, based at Barking Community Hospital, Upney Lane, Barking, Essex, IG11 9LX. This is a substantive contract with frequency 1:50 hours per week, and a 3% basic salary Category A on-call supplement.
