About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Uniting Cloud. As a Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in guiding our pricing and promotions strategy, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scope the brief to understand the objectives and requirements of the project
  • Analysis and modeling of data using statistical, predictive, and machine learning algorithms to extract actionable insights
  • Develop a price optimization tool using regression-based, experimental/reinforcement learning, and Bayesian techniques
  • Develop forecasting models to predict customer behavior and demand
  • Use Databricks, Python, Power BI, PySpark, and Azure technologies to analyze and visualize data
  • Automate pricing processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Develop data visualizations and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders

Requirements

  • Experience in a commercial environment, working in data engineering/science, including predictive and ML tools
  • Familiarity with Azure technologies, including Databricks, PySpark, and Python
  • Confidence in working with senior stakeholders and a good understanding of product pricing, promotions, marketing, and commercial decision-making
  • Experience with pricing and promotions is desirable but not essential
