About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Workshop Fitter to join our team in Scunthorpe. As a key member of our well-established team, you will work on various mechanical systems and industrial machinery.

  • Stripping, inspecting, and rebuilding industrial gearboxes.
  • Inspecting and overhauling industrial machinery both on & off site.
  • General mechanical fitting and workshop duties.
  • Fault diagnosis, service, and repair.
  • Providing technical support to customers.
  • Completing reports both on paper and digitally - legible handwriting and computer literacy are essential.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualifications: Apprentice-trained in a heavy plant environment or HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: Strong mechanical background in industries such as aerospace, energy, or automotive.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, customer handling abilities, and the capacity to work independently.
  • Physical Fitness: This role requires a good level of physical fitness due to the nature of the work.
  • Driving Licence: A valid driving licence is essential.

Salary and Benefits:

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of up to £40,000 + overtime, plus excellent benefits including an annual company bonus, employer-matched pension up to 6%, enhanced holiday scheme, life assurance (3x annual salary), and private healthcare.
