We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Supervisor to join our Projects team at RSK Group. The overall purpose of this role is to supervise and lead site-based staff throughout their day-to-day work to achieve completion of projects as set out by our clients.
Main Responsibilities
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment and adhere to established work practices, while controlling environmental impacts and complying with legislative requirements.
- Day-to-day line management responsibilities for Projects team members, including performance management, training, and timesheet administration.
- Responsible for the daily delivery of site-based activities as per the project programme.
- Active participation in daily site briefings and ensuring that all necessary permits and documentation are in place.
- Ensure a high standard of productivity is achieved on site activities, with efficient planning of labour, plant, and materials.
- Ensure that all site activities are carried out with zero incidents, on time, with zero defects, and within client compliance targets.
- Support the Construction Manager in day-to-day activities and achieve a thorough understanding of the role to deputise when required.
- Creation of risk assessments and method statements, ensuring suitable revision and review, is applied pre and post job completion.
- Ensure that all weekly and monthly internal and external deadlines are met, and prepare detailed reports to substantiate the figures.
To be considered for this position, you will have at least 2-3 years of previous experience in a similar level role, ideally within an engineering or civils environment. An excellent working knowledge of the water industry would be beneficial, as well as awareness of NEC3 Construction & Engineering Contracts and an electrical or mechanical bias. Travel to various sites throughout the country is required, so a valid UK driving license is essential for the position.
