Salary Details

The estimated salary for this position is £28,000 per annum. Job Responsibilities

You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries, administering absence, and supporting employees with payroll-related queries. Your tasks will include:

  • Ensuring payroll deadlines are met
  • Processing starter and leaver information
  • Adjusting payments accordingly for sick pay or other statutory payments
  • Completing and returning payroll data to HMRC, pension providers, Courts Service, Office of National Statistics, and Child Support Agency
  • Assisting with year-end processes and reporting
  • Developing payroll processes, procedures, and system updates
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have experience working as a payroll professional in a busy, fast-paced environment. A qualification in payroll is advantageous but not essential, as experience is key. You should also possess:

  • Experience in payroll and pension processing, along with knowledge of benefit taxation implications
  • Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations
  • Experience dealing with DWP, HMRC, and Courts
  • Working knowledge of RTI and Auto Enrolment
  • Payroll software knowledge: Workday would be ideal but not essential
